1920's & 1930's

World War one was declared to be over, but the return of soldiers made it difficult to change to peacetime and families, and workplaces struggled to incorporate these men into their past life. Many qualities of life were improved such as the automobile and the radios and television were changing the way people lived and shaped the industry around it.

However, woman started to gain independence and change over time, although cultural tension between natives and settlers remained high. The Great Depression in 1929 changed the way Australia operated due to the situation in the global stock markets. This lead to a reaction of events which eventually ends with an unemployment rate higher.
